On November 11, 2024, Ceramax company representatives held an important meeting with the city’s energy director in Bukhara. The meeting focused on promoting cooperation in renewable energy projects, aiming to accelerate the transformation of Bukhara’s energy structure and promote green and low-carbon development.

During the meeting, the director of Bukhara Municipal Energy gave a detailed introduction to the city’s energy status and challenges. Bukhara mainly relies on traditional energy, which used to be dominated by “blue gold” natural gas. During the peak period of electricity heating in winter every year, the supply gap becomes more and more obvious, up to 20 million m3 per day, which seriously affecting the electricity consumption and energy supply demand in the urban area. But the city is rich in solar energy resources, with large tracts of land suitable for building solar power stations.

Ceramax has proposed an energy storage solution – a 1-2MWh container energy storage system. The system cleverly integrates 51.2V 280Ah lithium batteries, converter, battery management system (BMS), energy management system (EMS), fire protection facilities, air conditioning system and other key electrical equipment into a standard-sized 10-20ft container. Thanks to its modular design, the system can be flexibly expanded to meet the needs of different scenarios, including capacity expansion and backup power supply. This container system is known for its modular structure, portability and simple installation process, and is widely used in multiple links of system power generation, transmission, distribution, power consumption and dispatching.
During the discussion, the director of Bukhara Municipal Energy expressed great interest, but raised specific questions about the project implementation, maintenance and long-term operating costs. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on the potential economic and environmental benefits of the container energy storage system and reached a preliminary consensus on possible future cooperation directions.
The talks marked a good start for the cooperation between Bukhara and Ceramax in the container energy storage system. Both parties expressed their willingness to strengthen communication and cooperation, promote the implementation of specific projects, and jointly contribute to green and low-carbon development.
